The Venom movie could show up to five symbionts on screen, in addition to the own Poison and Matanza (Carnage). We tell you what symbionts of the Venom Universe will appear in the film of the sworn enemy of Spider-man.
Venom’s movie is coming. The solo debut of Veneno, the enemy of Spider-man, will hit theaters in the fall and some interesting details about it will be revealed. To give you an example, Screenrant has published a list with the supposed five symbionts that we will see in Venom.
And is that the new trailer of Venom has left open the door for speculations to go-gó. Without going any further, we know that there will be five test subjects of the Vida Foundation, responsible for the experiments with the alien life forms, which will be the axis of the film. However, do not believe that it is so easy to identify the symbiotes beyond Venom and Carnage, whose appearance is confirmed and is known to be played by Woody Harrelson.
In this short list, we talk about the five symbiotes that we believe we will see in the film and we will also identify them by name, actor, appearance and a brief biography about their origin in the comics. However, keep in mind that until the film is released, this information is not entirely official and should be taken with caution.
Mind you, also keep in mind that if we attend to what we know, thanks to these speculations, Venom’s Separation Anxiety mini-series (which also inspired a SNES video game) could be the basis of the film. If you want to catch up, we have understood that the current Spanish edition of Poison in comic is compiling the stories of the nineties as a supplement. It would not hurt for you to go through your comic shop and ask your trusted bookseller about the Venom comics in Spain.
The main villain, if we attend to the information that is handled, will be Disturbance (Riot, in the original). Apparently, one of his guests will be Carlton Drake, head of the Vida Foundation, and to whom Riz Ahmed gives life. It is also speculated that the symbiote will jump from guest to guest.
Its color is silver and, in the comics, it was a symbiote born of experimentation with the Veneno symbiote in the Vida Foundation. Over the years, it has had several users, the first being a security guard known as Trevor Cole. Subsequently, it would be used for covert operations before being placed under the supervision of the US Government again. His last known guest was Slaughter (Deadpool), who used him and several of his brothers to match tables during his confrontation with Carnage.
One of the most curious episodes of this symbiote was that it served as the basis for creating the Hybrid, an amalgamation of several symbiotes. However, the Hybrid later disappeared from continuity, when Brock finished with the guest who kept him at bay.
After the premiere of Venom’s solo movie was announced, fans wondered if at some point they could see this and other Spider-Man villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The answer starts from Sony, which has the rights of several characters (including the one played by Tom Hardy), a company that hopes that in the not too distant future his villains will enter the Marvel films.
According to the specialized portal “Variety”, Sony has total disposition in which the characters of Spider-Man appear in films of Marvel under the mark of Disney. Also, would agree to include a cameo of superheroes in their productions.
Another point in favor is that both “Venom” and “Spider-Man: Homecoming” would have identical ratings with PG 13 (indispensable requirement to combine the characters) this would allow them to merge the stories and that the antihero can appear in some sequel to the hero arachnid.
How did a Sony character get to Marvel? It was thanks to an agreement between Amy Pascal, former chairman of the board of directors of Sony, and Kevin Feige, CEO of Marvel Studios, the first company that allowed the spider hero to appear in the Marvel Universe.
This fact allowed that the character incarnated by Tom Holland appear in “Captain America: Civil War”, “Avengers: Infinity War” and will also be in “Avengers 4”. Also, before these participations, he had his solo movie in the MCU.
The truth is that the negotiations are on track and although Marvel is a very reserved company with its characters would not look with bad eyes the incursion of new heroes and villains.
Marvel was the great absentee during Comic Con 2018. However, he did not stop to launch his trailers and have a presence through the actors and production team of the film Venom. The Entertainment Weekly medium had the opportunity to talk with Tom Hardy about the construction of the character.
The representatives of the panel were asked about the profile and role that the well-known symbiote would play in the film. For they themselves confirmed that it is not a villain as such, but not a hero, but a simple human who will not let anything get in his way.
Venom will be presented as an antihero like Deadppol, but much more ruthless. Recall that the symbiote and Eddie Brock, the guest, have different personalities and should reach an agreement to be able to live together.
After the interview, the following image showing a large part of Venom’s body was shown. Now you can know what CGI’s work will be like on the tape. The premiere is scheduled for June 4 in Peru and 5 in the United States.
