No, Instagram does not notify users when you screenshot a Post or Story. The only exception is disappearing photos or videos sent in (DM) Direct Messages or Vanish Mode. All other content can be screenshotted without sending any alerts.

Android Phones

• For all Standard Android, the Press Power + Volume Down at the same time method will do the trick.
• Samsung (One UI):
  • Use Power + Volume Down or enable Palm Swipe to Capture under Settings → Advanced features.
  • You can also press and hold Power, then tap “Screenshot.”

All screenshots are saved automatically to Gallery or Photos → Screenshots.
